The museum is currently running an appeal to raise £25,000 for
the repairs to our hangar and other buildings roofs.
Due to the age of the buildings and the limited life-span of the
materials used, it has become necessary to replace tiles and roof
sheeting. These repairs are desperately needed to continue to protect the
collection contained within the buildings for future generations to see and
enjoy.
The appeal has recently been launched along with the help of the
local newspaper, the Folkestone Herald and so far we have raised nearly £8,500
from donations given by local people, organisations and others.
Donations have ranged from the small amounts donated by kind
local pensioners through to larger amounts donated by local companies and
organisations. However, we still need to raise a further £18,000 to
enable us to undertake the work URGENTLY needed.
